Manningham General Practice

Have been coming to MGP for almost 15 years. Saw a new doctor today as my regular GP was unavailable. I had one issue and needed a repeat prescription for regular medication. Dr Tewari was slow and then told me they would need to charge for an extended consultation! I was furious. And I waited 20 minutes past my appointment time because she was running behind. $175 fee! What a joke.

********. COMPLETE MALPRACTICE ********* I'm not even sure how they're allowed to be called a medical practice! My mum went in because she had flu/covid like symptoms. She took a positive RAT test into the appointment with her. Dr didn't even look at the test!!! Instead, she prescribed my mum antibiotics. You don't even need a medical certificate to know that antibiotics, CANNOT treat a virus such as flu/covid. This practice is a disgusting display of malpractice ESPECIALLY when it comes to the elderly who are vulnerable and trust what the Dr says. DO NOT GO TO THIS PRACTICE AT ALL COST!!!!

I’ve been mistreated consistently over the past 4/5 years by at least 10 different doctors. Being the easiest to reach i’ve continued coming. Service has declined significantly. Can rarely get through via phone call, with hold times astronomical, reception staff do not know how to assist with complaints. Appointments always run at least 30 minutes late and are usually cut short. Sent for expensive scans, bloods and scripts are thrown at the patient (such as prescribing me as a minor opioid painkillers without a determined cause) all before any basic check during the appointment (blood pressure, understanding of patient symptoms, etc.) Was promised a service the practice doesn’t provide, if booking regarding family planning !avoid! Not to mention simple answers to questions during the appointment being plainly wrong! A quick google will provide you with more accurate answers to your condition. Charged for 1 minute phone calls from doctors- outside of work hours. Unrequested. More heartache than the rising cost of a consult is worth, save time and money- go elsewhere!

My family and I have been a patients for over 10 years. Once again I was given the wrong script by a doctor when I called to have the correct script sent to me I was again charged for the consultation. When I questioned this I was told it was procedure. There are so many clinics in the area my family will be moving elsewhere. Clinic is totally out of touch with the area.
